Travel By rail/train and boat.

While traveling on a boat or a ferry in the Europe you dont have to consider too many things.

Boat travel is not only cheap but one of the best experiences in the most beautiful rivers of European cities

Always keep away from the edges and putting out the hand in the water that is reckless and risky.

There are attendants on board so please be sure to ask them of any problem you are facing. Also, take a motion sickness tablet before traveling on a boat if you are allergic or uncomfortable to certain things.

There are boat instructions manuals available at the offices and reception while buying a ticket so never forget to ask for a copy.

Traveling by train can be quite exiting in Europe. Some of them are extremely fast and cover distances in a snap.

Traveling by train could be quite soothing, relaxing, economical alternative to an air flight and you can enjoy scenic view of countryside and time you can spend together

If the trip includes elders and family then always opt for the direct route available because it will reduce stress and chances of missing a train at some other train due to delays.

Most train offer reduced prices for children under 16 and children under 4 can travel free, so always check with youre the booking office.

If the train travel is longer than 6 hours consider the night hours for traveling and always book a sleeper car.

Ask for a window seat while booking a ticket most of the countries in Europe gives priority to tourists ask for face-to-face seats if traveling with family.

Reach early for booking if aspire for priority boarding.

Always prefer wearing loose fitting clothes if planning for a long journey on the train

Although Europeans are easy-going always remind children to behave if easy going and make sure you tell them to respect fellow passengers especially when they are sleeping.

Also tell children to stay away from emergency braking systems if located within their reach.

Also carry along a camera so that you can capture the beautiful and scenic sights while traveling.

Travel by Air.

Always read the ticket and baggage instruction manual inside the ticket booklet and strict follow the dos and donts

One of the most important aspects is get your luggage weighed before boarding a flight, not to pay heavy charges on extra luggage and always pack the essential things.

In some of the countries like U.K. France, Germany and others flights may be cheaper option to train, on top of that flights are best and the fastest ways to get around different locations.

At high altitudes, the flight tends to get very cold so its advisable to carry along a jacket if you are not sure of being provided with a blanket.

Some flights can be noisy and pain in the ears so ask for an ear plug or look in one of the pockets near your seat.

If you are allergic or a patient of motion sickness never forget to take medicines before you board a flight because prevention is better than cure.

Please mention beforehand if you are a vegetarian so that you dont have to ask around later for the food you have been provided with.

Pets can also be carried in the flights but they have to be in special containers and a small fee is payable for their shipping.

Jet lag is a syndrome when your body wants to sleep as per normal even though its any hour of the day at the place where you heading off, so dont worry you are absolutely perfect.

That might solve most of the queries an air traveler has. Wish you a happy and a safe journey

Automotive Batteries

Think of the battery as the heart of your car. You need a battery you can count on to get your motor running and keep it pumping all day long.

The car battery is an essential element of the intricate network that makes your car start and keeps the engine running. The battery powers most of the car's electrical components and accessory structures, such as the headlights, turn signals, fans, etc. While the alternator provides most of the electrical needs of the entire car system, the battery can keep them going in the event of an alternator malfunction.

There are many batteries available at automotive supply stores, and it's important to know exactly which model is the right choice for your car. The wrong battery won't work in your car, and it may even cause damage to the vehicle. Knowing which battery is right for your particular vehicle is extremely important, and it can also help to learn about the various battery manufacturers and automotive supply companies. You should only have to buy a battery every few years, so make sure you're buying the right one.

* Size Matters: Buying a battery for your car is like choosing a pair of shoes for you. One size does not fit all. The size of the battery itself is important, as it needs to fit snugly into the space allotted under the engine's hood. If the battery is too small there is the risk of it becoming dismantled and causing vibrations or damage. Further, the battery will either be a top post or side post model, which will determine how it fits and operates.

* Power Up: You need to know your car's specific power requirements before purchasing a car battery. Some cars need an 8-volt battery, while others require a 12-volt. There are a number of considerations to take into account, such as the size of the car and the number of accessories that must be powered. A huge sound system, for example, can easily suck the life out of an average car battery. A 12-volt battery should be able to maintain at least 7.2 volts when the vehicle is starting and while it is operational.

* Chill Out: If you live in a cold-climate area, it's important to check the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) before you buy. CCA is a measurement used to determine a battery's ability to start an engine at 0 Fahrenheit, within a 30 second period. A higher CCA rating means the battery will start your vehicle faster and more effectively in freezing weather.

* Get it in Writing: No matter how well known the manufacturer is, you need to get a written manufacturers warranty with your battery. Make sure that the battery is in original condition, and is not a recharged model. The quality and dependability of the battery you choose should be indicative of the warranty you're offered. Make sure that battery is guaranteed for the duration of the battery's life (ie: if you plan on using the battery for five years, look for a five-year warranty).

* Keep it Fresh: Whether you're buying bananas or batteries, you need to make sure they're fresh and damage-free. Just because it's a piece of car equipment, it's not OK for your battery to waste away on a stockroom shelf. Make sure that the battery you buy is produced by a known and respected manufacturer, and that it's fully charged and ready to start your car. If you're not careful, you can run the risk of purchasing a fake or recharged battery. Look on the side of a battery casing for a special label or decal. You'll find the month and year that the battery was shipped from the manufacturer's plant. The letters 'A' through 'M' represent months of the year. For example, 'A' is January and 'M' is December. The letter 'I' is not used. The numbers 1 through 9 denotes the year of manufacture. Therefore, if the sticker on your batter reads L4, you know that it was manufactured in November 2004.

A car battery provides starting power to your vehicle, so make sure it's dependable. Understand your car's requirements and know how to verify the quality of the battery before you make the final purchase.

Caring for the Orphaned Foal

There's nothing worse than looking forward to the arrival of a well-bred foal, only to lose the mare during the birthing process. While raising a foal orphaned at birth can be extremely challenging, there are ways to up the odds of the foal surviving to become a productive member of equine society.

The Importance of Colostrum

The first task at hand should be ensuring that the foal gets a sufficient amount of colostrum. Colostrum, which is the mare's first milk, is loaded with disease-and infection-fighting antibodies. Because mares don't pass antibodies to their foals during pregnancy, adequate colostrum consumption is necessary for the newborn to be protected against disease.

About 12 hours after birth gastrointestinal absorption of colostrum begins to decrease, and absorption is only minimal after 24 hours. Colostrum can be bottle fed the orphaned foal, or given via stomach tube by a vet. Ideally, two or three liters of colostrum should be divided into three or four doses, which should be given at hourly intervals.

Where do you get colostrum? First of all, if a mare is at risk of dying, colostrum should be harvested. In addtion, breeders should always collect a little extra from foaling mares to have on hand in emergencies, providing the mare has enough colostrum. In most cases, about 200 to 500 ml of colostrum can be milked from a mare without compromising the antibodies she passes on to her foal. The colostrum can then be frozen and used when necessary.

Nutrition

Once enough colostrum has been consumed by the foal, the next order of business is to establish a good nutrition plan. Breeders have two basic options when feeding the orphaned foal. They can (1) use a nurse mare or goat; or (2) bottle feed the foal by hand.

Because it significantly reduces the amount of labor nurse mares are always the first choice. However, nurse mares are hard to find, and even when they are found sometimes refuse to nurse the foal. A milk-producing goat can also be used with some modifications.

In most cases, a manual feeding plan is developed. These can be quite labor-intensive! In the beginning, the foal is usually fed mare's milk, goat's milk, or a powdered substitute. Many breeders also used tried-and-true homemade mare's milk substitutes. Within a few weeks foals should be able to begin eating solid foods such as grain, grass, or hay.

So, how much does a foal eat? Well, you might be surprised to learn that a suckling foal can consume as much as 25 percent of its body weight per day of a milk replacer without stomach distress. These means that a 100-pound foal can consume 25 poundsor 50 cupsof milk per day. Wow! To this end, it's always a good idea to teach your foal to drink from a bucket. It will cut down on the amount of time you need to spend manually feeding! It's also worth mentioning that smaller, more frequent meals are healthier for the foal than larger, less frequent meals.

General Health

It's important to keep a close eye on the newborn's general health, especially if mare was sick before delivery. A sick mare can sometimes result in an undernourished foal. Check to see that your foal stands, walks, and exhibits the sucking reflex within two or three hours of birth. Watch foals that appear healthy carefully to make sure they don't deteriorate within the first 24 hours, which is not uncommon.

* * * * *

While many believe an orphaned foal's growth and health will be compromised, this is not always the case. With proper colostrum intake, as well as a good feeding and care regimen, your foal should suffer no long-term effects.

How To Find Cheap Travel

This article will uncover the market of cheap travel, suggest ways of finding cheap travel and pay attention to the problem issues that may arise in budget travel.

Student travel has come a long way in the past few decades. It is no longer considered a rarity. Gap years, student electives abroad and cheap summer holidays in distant places, have become part of the generally life-enriching experience that is now considered synonymous with the student status. (Frost F et al., 1999)

The current financial climate, with many students having to rely on student loans, parental support, holiday jobs or personal savings for their financial fluidity, largely dictates and limits just what can be achieved in this regard and there are a number of ploys and strategies that are commonly used to make the money go further or, to look at it another way, to allow the same money let the student go further! (Reisinger Y et al., 2004)

We can start by taking an overview of the situation and dividing up the travel costs into those that are necessary to arrive at a destination and those that are necessarily incurred to move around once the student has arrived. Generally speaking, the preferred way to travel is by flying. It is often the quickest way to travel long distances and in these days of competitive pricing strategies, many of the no-frills and budget airlines are offering very cheap flights across mainland Europe. The unwary student should note that the eye-catching prices quoted are invariably exclusive of taxes and fuel surcharges which can add between 30-200 onto the quoted cost (depending on destination and distance).

As a general rule, the cheaper the flight, the greater the sacrifice of both flexibility and conditions. A flight that arrives or leaves in the early hours of the morning, does not supply food, has minimal in-flight entertainment and a strict baggage allowance, is clearly going to cost less than one that has additional amenities. A word of caution also for these flights as there are generally strict terms and conditions, limited changeability and minimal prospect of refund if there's a problem.

Cheap flights are at the other end of the spectrum from cheap holidays. With holidays the greatest savings are made by those who are willing to book at the last minute. With flights, the converse is true. As flights get booked up, the prices tend to rise. (Bernstein J et al., 1999)

Two of the most commonly used mechanisms for obtaining cheap flights are flight-brokers and screen scrapers. The flight brokers make their money by selling you a flight that gives them a commission. There is therefore a balance between the amount of commission that an airline pays them to fill their seats and the requirements of the student. The screen scrapers are web-based tools such as TravelSupermarket, TravelJungle, and SkyScanner. You effectively enter your requirements and these sites send the details to dozens of airlines (and some brokers) and display their findings with the cheapest first. (Sheth A et al., 2002)

There are variations on this process with sites like Expedia and Travelocity specialising in long-haul flights and Expedia and Opodo allowing flights to one airport then leaving from another. Flights Direct will specifically examine the charter market for occasional bargains.

If you intend to fly on certain dates a few months in the future, it is well worth signing up to the e-mail lists of the appropriate airlines. They will send out details of short-term sales so that you can snap them up at the right moment if they come up. British Airways, Opodo, American Airlines and KLM are particularly good for this type of approach.

Once at the destination, the student has to consider the best way of travelling around. Rather like the airlines, one pays for convenience, accessibility and comfort the cheapest forms of travel generally being the slowest and least luxurious. It is clearly impossible to generalise throughout the world, but hitch-hiking, which might have once been considered the cheapest way to travel, has a distinct risk element of personal safety and clearly is inappropriate for the lone female traveller. Many of the commercially available insurance policies specifically forbid such practices. (Cullinane S, 2002)

Public transport is often the most reliable of the cheaper options. Either the local busses, the long-haul coaches or the train services being generally safe and reliable. Many of the more developed countries offer student travel cards (or a variant) to reduce the costs of repeated journeys and some bus companies (Australia travel being a notable example) will sell an open ticket between two specified destinations which can be used with different segments of the journey being undertaken over a period of several weeks.

There are other considerations relating to travel such as how best to deal with money. The time-honoured way of carrying travellers cheques may no longer be popular, with many students electing for the convenience of "plastic" money and credit cards. One should note that Mastercard will generally convert foreign exchange transactions at about the best commercially available rate, but will then add about 2.75%. This does vary between cards and therefore should be individually checked. Overseas cash withdrawals are also usually subject to a 2% additional fee (minimum charge 2) on both credit and debit cards. In addition to all of this, some credit card companies will also add a transaction fee on foreign transactions. (Halifax is currently the worst, levying 1.75 on each transaction.) For the student, the Post Office or Nationwide credit cards appear to be the best option. They have no levy on overseas purchases but they do charge interest on all cash withdrawals.

As with all travel, insurance is not essential, but only the most foolhardy student would travel without it. The annual multi-trip insurance is seldom competitive except for the USA where it may work out cheaper than individual trip cover (mainly because of the medical expense element applicable to the USA). Most will require you to be staying at pre-booked venues which may not be appropriate for the student traveller.

Decide what cover you need, what excess you need (the first part of each claim that you have to pay yourself) and then shop around. The classic insurance selling line is "why not upgrade to our platinum policy, with 30 million worth of medical cover etc." In real terms, the chances of you ever needing more than 2 million of medical cover or repatriation to the UK is virtually negligible and therefore perhaps best avoided. A good plan is to include a personal liability cover of 1 million and also cover for "cancellations and curtailments" together with cover for lost or delayed baggage and cash.

You should note that Europe-only cover is cheaper than further afield and therefore only select wider cover if it is appropriate. Lastly, ensure that the company you are dealing with is covered by FSA regulated underwriters.

Bear in mind also that the new EHIC card (free from www.dh.gov.uk/travellers) will provide free or discounted health care costs in the EU, but does not cover any repatriation costs.

Useful sites for comparisons and costs are Travel-Insurance-Web for Europe-only travel and Insure For for world-wide travel.

Travel the World from your Home TV

Television (TV) is a tool- it can be an evil distraction or used for learning, and creating good. Back in the 1970's, I belonged to a world-wide fraternal organization that had representatives for each of the 50 United States, and several foreign countries. I remember being at a convention in Atlantic City, NJ, where a synopsis of each representative's report was given by the leader of the organization, who prefaced her remarks with "I feel like I've traveled all over the world without leaving my chair.". The person sitting next to me commented "See- she DOES smoke that funny stuff!".

Advances in technology, especially in TV and computers, have enabled us to have contact with people from all over the globe. The World Wide Web gives us insights into the cultures and lifestyles of people from other countries. So do television programs from other countries.

As an American, I am amazed at how prudish we are when it comes to sex and nudity on television! When nudity is shown on television, 99 percent of the time, it is female nudity. Come on, we women like to look, too! Just watch any European TV show, especially the commercials. Watch one of those special "Uncensored Commercials" television shows that the networks have from time to time, and you will be amazed at the difference between the commercials shown here and abroad. Alas- the "Uncensored Commercials" show WILL censor the commercials to make them "suitable" for viewing in the US. Footballers Wives is one of my favorite British shows, and shows male and female nudity, unabashed and uncensored.

TV Censorship has become a huge problem since 2001, when the neocons took office. The standards are getting more and more restrictive, and the penalties more and more ridiculous. Janet Jackson's infamous "wardrobe malfunction" during a Super Bowl halftime is a prime example. Federal Communications Commission chief Michael Powell promised an investigation into whether CBS violated decency laws, with potential fines of up to $27,500 PER AFFILIATE WHICH AIRED THE GAME!! . If applied to each CBS station, the fine could reach into the millions. The FCC in the United States is running rampant!! I can't even enjoy watching South Park on TV anymore- half of the dialogue is "bleeped" out. Soon, there will be nothing left on American TV but Mother Goose nursery rhymes. I know that children should be protected, but ultimately, that's the responsibility of the parents.

Another problem with getting objective and uncensored television is media conglomeration. Nine corporations, mostly US owned, dominate the media world : AOL-Time Warner, Disney, Bertelsmann, Viacom, News Corporation, TCI, General Electric (owner of NBC), Sony (owner of Columbia and TriStar Pictures and major recording interests), and Seagram (owner of Universal film and music interests). You might ask, "What is wrong with a few companies becoming so big? Isn't that how business works?" Focusing on democracy-enhancing principles and the institutions needed for it such as the media and journalism, the concern that arises is that there are very few media owners in the mainstream that reach out to the masses. As a result, there is the risk of reducing the diversity of issues and perspectives and of political influence and interests from a few affecting the many. We have seen this happening since 2001, when the televison, radio and print media seemed to be under tighter and tighter government control. To illustrate: during the Vietnam War, the American public saw images of war on their TV screens, and of flag-draped coffins returning with the bodies of soldiers slain in battle. These images have been "scrubbed" from the TV media coverage of the Iraqi war, probably at the behest of the "powers that be" in government. Why?

The American media did cover the recent Tsunami, and the devastation that it wrought in Asia. We were told by the news anchors appearing on our TV sets that the tsunami was caused by an earthquake. What was NOT mentioned by the American media, but WAS mentioned by news sources in Greece, was that there had been some bomb tests off the coast of Thailand in the Indian Ocean just a few days before the giant waves crashed ashore!! Again, here is government censorship of our media tightening the noose around our necks, and cutting off the flow of information to our brains.

The only real solution for the thinking person who wants to be fully informed is to access TV news media from around the world, and compare notes on how news stories are presented by different broadcasters. Even if you just want to be entertained, having access to television shows from different countries enriches the quality of life.

Do You Need a Trademark?

Here's what you need to know about trademarks.

Even though all starting businesses need one or more business licenses and tax ids before legally starting business operations, another consideration when starting a business is the trademark of the business name, product or service. After reading this article you will know what is a trademark and whether you need to register one.

What is a Trademark?

A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol or design, or a combination of words, phrases, symbols or designs. This word, symbol or design identifies and distinguishes a company's products or services from products and services of another company. Note that a trademark of a product is the mark of the product itself or a mark associated with the offering of a product. Similarly, a trademark of a service is the mark in connection with the services.

Do I need to register a trademark?

Trademark registration is not required but it will help you in case the use of the mark is challenged. You can establish rights in a mark based on legitimate use of the mark. "Legitimate use" in general means that the name, mark or symbol used in connection with a bona fide offering of goods or services within a specified geographical region. Thus, if, for a period of time, you use the mark to sell toys in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, you acquire rights to the mark selling toys in that particular area. Or, if you do business nationwide, you acquire rights to the use of the mark, nationwide.

You can establish rights to a trademark if you register the trademark at the federal or state level. That will establish that you are commonly known by the registered trademark. If it is a name, you can establish that you are commonly know by that trademark name if you register a corporate name as a corporation or the trade name as a "doing business as" ("DBA"). In addition, registering a trademark provides constructive notice to the public, and a presumption that you are the owner or the mark and you use it in connection with the goods and/or services listed in the registration.

Federal trademark registration allows you to to bring an action concerning the mark in federal court. The trademark registration is also a basis for registration in other countries. You can also file with the U.S. Customs Service to prevent importation of infringing foreign goods. Keep in mind, however, that you any time you claim rights in a mark, you may use the "TM" (trademark) or "SM" (service mark) designation to alert the public to your claim, regardless of whether you have filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. However, you may use the federal registration symbol "" only after the United States Patent and Trademark Office actually registers a mark, and not while an application is pending. Also, you may use the registration symbol with the mark only on or in connection with the goods and/or services listed in the federal trademark registration.

How do I file a Trademark Application?

If you hire a trademark attorney, you normally fill out a secure online trademark application form. I recommend hiring an attorney because if you prepare and submit an application, you must comply with all requirements of the trademark statute and rules. If you choose to appoint an attorney to represent your interests before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the United States Patent and Trademark Office will correspond only with your attorney.

Buying A Car: 5 Ways To Save Money

Buying a car is an expensive thing. But, does it have to be? There are a number of things that you can do to get the car that you want for much less. Simple and a bit more complex, these tips will help you to save money in the long run. Buying a car can be affordable.

Here are five tips for saving money on your next car purchase.

1.Get your financing in order before you leave to look at cars. While many car dealerships are offering financing for vehicles, this can be one of the more costly options. Make sure you talk to online financing companies, your local bank and your credit union. You probably will save a good amount of money here.

2.Do the down payment. Even a bit of a down payment can help you to save considerably down the road. You can save a good deal of money if you invest wisely. But, adding a bit of a down payment to the purchase will help to lower the amount of principal that you actually owe on that vehicle purchase.

3.If your credit is bad, get a co signer. Having someone else that can help you to get your car is a great way to secure a vehicle for a more affordable price. This helps to lower the amount of risk that you present to the car financer. The lower the amount of risk you prove to be, the better your chances of paying less for that car.

4.Trade-ins are good too. If you have a car that you plan to trade in, you may be able to get a good price for it. To improve the amount you get, make sure that the car is as clean as possible, is running well and has been taken care of. In addition to this, make sure that you know the value of it by looking it up on the web. Know what its worth so you do not get taken. The value of the trade in will lower the amount you have to have financed on your vehicle.

5.Shop around and haggle. There is no shame in saving money. Dealers are selling cars to make a commission. How much will they make off of you? Do your homework out the type of car you are looking for and know its worth. Look at several dealerships to find the right car at the right price. Don't forget to haggle with the dealership salesmen. But, whatever you do, do not be insulting to them. That's the wrong way to get your price down.

Take these five ways to save on the next time you buy a car and you will walk way with the benefits that you deserve. You can save a good amount of financing and interest charges this way.

Sure Your Bridal Jewelry is Important, but Don't Lose Sight of What's Really Important Here

Beaded, vintage bridal jewelry can make a woman lose her mind. Your wedding jewelry plays a big part in your dream of that one moment in your life when every person in the room turns and looks at you. And no one is allowed to laugh. If you have done it right, there may be a collective gasp of delight. If you are wearing the proper amount of sparkle, an elderly aunt might faint by your dazzle.

It's the same thrill as walking in a room with stacked floor to ceiling designer shoes in your size. I have never been lucky enough to experience this, but I am a woman and I have my fantasies. In fact, entire television series have been written about this. It was called Sex in the City. And, yes, the sex part was great, but the shoes were what we really wanted.

So it goes with women and shopping for wedding attire. Starting with finding the dress right down to the purchase of the perfect earrings to show off our daintiest little lobe. We have our dreams and besides, we are wired this way. Nothing can be done about it.

It's like trying to stop a cat from puking hairballs on your new white rug. Some things cannot be stopped. And sometimes when we're making these kinds of decisions, we women can get just that unattractive about the whole thing. That's when, if you are lucky, your man steps up to the plate.

Somewhere in the background - behind the puking cat and you the bride-to-be pulling your hair out over which hairpin matches just the exact color of your bridemaid's dress - is that guy you've decided to love, honor and cherish. And if he's half the guy you deserve, he's looking fondly over the cat at you in your panic and realizing he doesn't have a clue what's going on. If he's really good, he'll get up and make you a cup of tea and pat you on the back. Then, if he's really smart, he'll bolt out the door and let you work it out on your own.

At some point, after you've sipped some tea and wiped up cat hairball, you'll come back around because you WILL find the perfect necklace and a fabulous dress. And you will remember eventually that you've managed to find a great mate too. And this is what it's really about.

Toothache In A Foreign Land

Getting a toothache while traveling overseas can be more than just annoying and inconvenient. It can ruin a good vacation. Here are some tips for preventing a toothache before you get on that plane, and for treating it if you get one anyhow.

Traveler's Dental Care

First of all, don't ever go on a long trip if you have an unresolved tooth problem, or even the hint of a toothache starting. Get it taken care of by a dentist, and if there is lingering pain, get a prescription pain reliever to take with you.

Have dental work done far enough in advance of your trip to be sure that all the pain is gone. It is common for a high spot on a new filling to cause severe pain days after it is put in. Any dentist can easily solve this by grinding it down - but wouldn't you rather have it done by the dentist you know and trust?

Avoid doing anything that can cause toothaches or other dental problems while traveling. Avoid eating popcorn, for example. It may be one of the worst foods for damaging teeth.

A toothbrush AND floss are a good idea on any trip, of course. Toothpaste may no longer be allowed on the plane, however. If you travel with only carry-on, this means you will have to remember to buy toothpaste as soon as you arrive at your destination. You can carry a bit of baking soda as an alternative as well - this will be allowed on the plane. Toothbrushes and floss are about dental problem prevention, of course, but what if your toothache starts while you're overseas?

Toothache Treatment

Try aspirin. Tylenol #3 is even better for a severe toothache. Antiseptics that contain benzocaine, applied directly to the irritated tooth and gum will temporarily relieve pain. Oil of cloves (eugenol) will also may help when applied to teeth and gums. Never put aspirin or other painkillers directly to gums, as they may burn your gum tissue.

Sometimes tooth pain does not originate in the teeth or gums, but in the sinus cavities. It may be a sinus infection putting pressure on the gums from above. In these cases, you might have to eliminate the infection with antibiotics to get relief. Some temporary relief is possible if you can clear the sinuses by steaming (carefully) your face, or eating hot sauce.

When teeth are temperature sensitive, you should obviously avoid hot and cold drinks. If it is cold outside, it will also help to breath through your nose. Breathing through the mouth brings cold air flowing over your teeth and can cause a lot of pain.

I have a toothache - the inspiration for this article. Two days ago I noticed that each time we drove over a mountain pass here in Colorado, the pain intensified. Descending below 8,000 feet seemed to take the pain away. If you notice this problem, be ready when flying - not all planes are fully pressurized.

Should you visit a dentist in another country? Certainly you'll have to if it is an emergency. Some toothaches are too severe to wait. You may prefer to just treat the pain until you get home otherwise. On the other hand, if the problem is simple, like a lost filling, some countries provide an opportunity for cheap dental care. Ask first, to see that the dentists are using gloves and the latest tools.

Disney Cruise Ports of Call

Disney Cruise Ports of Call

While the Disney cruise ships themselves are a fabulous vacation destination, they are also a floating 'Fantasyland', traveling to beautiful and exotic ports of call. If you can manage to tear yourself away from the activities and amenities of the Disney cruise ships for a few hours, many wonderful adventures await you when the ship docks.

The Disney Wonder departs each Sunday from Port Canaveral for a 4 night cruise, and again each Thursday for a 3 night cruise. Both itineraries include stops at Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay, Disney's own private island paradise. The 4 night cruise also includes either one day at sea, or an additional stop at Freeport, Bahamas.

The Disney Magic departs from Port Canaveral each Saturday for a 7 night cruise, and it alternates between cruising the eastern Caribbean and the western Caribbean. The Eastern Caribbean cruise includes stops at St. Thomas/St. John, St. Maarten and Castaway Cay, while the Western Caribbean itinerary includes stops at Key West. Cozumel, Grand Caymen and Castaway Cay.

This summer of 2007. The Disney Magic has departed from its usual journey around the Caribbean, and instead has traveled across the Atlantic to cruise the Mediterranean for the summer months. It is departing from Barcelona, Spain for 10 and 11 night cruises to beautiful cities on the Mediterranean, with stops in Italy, France, Spain and Sicily. Next summer, the Disney Magic will travel through the Panama Canal to spend the summer on the Mexican Riviera, with stops at Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallerta and Mazatlan.

Beware that the passport rules for American travelers have changed, and may or may not affect your travel plans. As of today, passports are required for all travel across borders by air - including Mexico, the Bahamas and the Caribbean, but not for travelers who arrive by cruise ship. They are planning to make passports required for cruise ship travelers soon - perhaps as early as January, so be sure to keep posted as to the rules. Even when passports are not required, having one certainly makes disembarking much quicker, and the wait for passports is extremely long due to the changing rules, so if you need a passport, be sure to apply sooner rather than later.

Tips For Traveling With Your Dog

Taking your dog with you when you travel, whether you go by land, air or sea, can present real problems. I know - I do 100k miles a year, and most of them I get to take Beck with me. It's worth the extra hassle, no question. But what tips can I offer you?

Air travel with your dog

It takes most dogs a long time to get used to traveling by plane. It took Beck about 6 flights before he stopped getting stressed about it. The big thing is to make sure your dog knows that it's just a temporary thing - to a woofer, a flight can seem to last forever! Each airline has their own set of rules - you need to check these before the flight. No good turning up and finding you are denied access to the plane because you didn't bone up on the regs!

Number one tip is - get a vet to sign a health certificate for your dog certifying that he has no diseases. Also make sure the dog is up to scratch on his anti-flea programme, and bring documentary evidence with you if you can. No airline wants a flea infested plane! Check his dog tags. Make sure YOUR contact details are there and easy to read. If you do get separated, this ensures you'll be re-united fast. For the same reason, you carry a photo of your dog in your wallet.

Number 2 tip - no food for Fido for 6 hours before the flight, and no water for 2 hours before. We wouldn't want any nasty 'accidents' now, would we???!!! Also put a note on his crate saying what his eating and drinking needs are - if the flight gets delayed, the ground staff will have a duty to live up to these.

Number 3 tip - buy a crate big enough for your dog to stand up in. Only buy custom made crates from your pet shop. Buy one that is designed for the rigors of air transport. NEVER try to 'get by' with any old crate. Trust me - your dog will thank you for the gift! Also remember that the airline you are using may have specific requirements for cases that go in the hold. Check the livestock regs.

Car Travel with your Dog

Tip 1 - Just like air travel, make sure your dog has all his ID with him, and you carry a photo. Even in the car, keep him leashed. Dogs have been known to get excited and leap out the window. Bad things happen on the freeway!

Tip 2 - Always book your hotel or motel ahead of time. If they don't allow dogs, you will be turned away whether or not you have a booking. I learned this the hard way with Beck - sleeping in a car ain't fun!

Tip 3 - acclimatization. Get your dog used to trips - start out with short trips, and gradually extend them. Let him experience the aircon, and maybe even stick his head out the window (dogs love this - make sure he's on the leash first, and that there is no contra traffic!)

These tips have enabled Beck and I to enjoy many great trips together, and believe me, it's nice to have some company on those long empty miles! If you like Beck, please vote for him on the petmillions.com contest at Vote for Beck in the petmillions contest!

Terry Hanson is in sales, but doesn't like to be separated from his pooch Beck, who is entered in the http://www.petmillions.com/ pet contest. Philippa Blog7760

Traveler Tips

Important general tips

Always buy your tickets online because online tickets are cheaper (as it doesnt include the agents commission) and you can easily compare the prices offered by different airlines.

If its your first time to a particular country, then cracking a deal with some of the best tourism agents and companies like SOTC, Thomas Cook could be a good idea and in first place you can bargain as well.

Always plan your journey and book tickets months in advance that could save a lot on money.

Never forget to bargain if you carrying extra luggage, although packing less and packing right is highly advisable.

Always read about the weather, history and people of the place you are traveling to that could really make you comfortable.

Possibly, carry along a credit card because most credit card company offers cheap interest rates and easy repayments on international transactions. Make sure with your company about the transaction rate.

Always carry more travelers cheque rather than cash money because it is safer and easily exchangeable at most of the banks.

Never forget to carry some cash in case of emergencies they might work your way out

Also, get an insurance done if you going for long vacations because many insurance companies cover theft, minor law breaking and accidents.

Also carry regular medicines for cough, cold or fever.

Packing Tips

Lets have a quick summary of what you should carry. Packing could be the most tedious job of all. But, when your destination is Europe you dont really have to worry a lot. In short, Pack less and relax. I m sure you want to enjoy more and not sweat most of the time.

Also get the roadmaps and hot destinations flyers and small booklets with you that wont waste time and I am sure you know that time is money.

Always remember to take a camera or a handy cam, for that is what will keep the sweet memories.

The first thing you have to bear in mind is, what time of the year you want to go because most of the countries are cold during winter and most of the people prefer anytime between March and September.

First of all organize your passport, money and all essential documents in a single pouch or bag that you would be carrying on your hand.

Multi-purpose clothing must be a good idea like the ones with many pockets (remember pockets will load off all your worries) and the lower legs can be zipped off.

Also, learn about money stashing in clothes thats the tip of the day.

Never carry food as it consumes a lot of space, unless you are the cant do without sort of.

Flip-flops and light shoes are best way walking and big boots could do well if you go in mountains

Just carry two-three jeans and a couple of tees, take sample size toiletries like toothpaste, toothbrush, soap etc.

Its better to carry big rucksacks, those can be mounted on your back and easy to go about.

Never forget about the things back home, always remember things have to be safe back home so if you have someone trusted hire him/her for home sitting. One of most safest idea is leave some or the other lights of your house on ( thats a million dollar tip)

Well thats most of the thing you need to look for, rest you smart people can work out.

I wish you a happy and a safe journey.

The Grannie Detective tells all ... HOW TO TELL IF HE'S LYING

"The Seven Deadly Signs of a Liar"

Being a lady private investigator who has worked a lot of infidelity cases. I am constantly being asked by my women clients, "I am so concerend about my relationship with my husband or boyfriend. HOw can I tell if he's lying to me?"

Well, I am a private investigator not a mind-reader or a magician but along the way I have picked up a frew little tricks here and there that prperly interpreted and used can help a woman to identify certain indicators directly related to lying.

First of all, 1) WATCH HIS EYES. It's true that the eyes are the windows to the soul. Remember the old song from the 70s "YOu can't hide those lying eyes" most of the time he can't.

and if you can learn to interpret certain eye situations you can look directly into someone's soul.

2) Be objective, put the personal emotions aside.

3) Look deeply, watch for fluttering, shifty eyed looks, not looking straight back at you.

4) Say "honey, take off the dark sun glasses"

5) Then there's the old perspiration game. Ask a question straight out, "Are you sleeping with Brittney?" See if his hands begin to move in a kind of defensive way, like attempting to but not really covering his face or eyes. Watch his face for a twitch, a sure sign of lying unless he has some neurological disease which you would have noticed before.

6) LIsten for the sound of his voice. Has he turned into a sudden soprano?

7) And lastly drop a tear or two unless he's really a hard-boiled louse and or doesn't love you, this can move him into the wonderful world of truth. Maybe he's not lying afterall. Now you'lll know.

Creating a Travel Plan for Your Mexico Vacation

Planning is key to enjoying a great vacation when visiting Mexico. Taking the time to plan your trip ahead of time is the best way to enjoy your vacation. Planning is not only needed to enjoy your vacation, but to stay within your budget, have access to entertainment, and have a backup plan should anything go awry.

When creating a Mexico travel plan, it is advised that you include the cost of your trip, as well as your spending money. If you are planning a family trip, you may want to let your children participate in the plan by letting them decide where theyd like to go and what theyd like to see. A Mexico travel plan is also important because it can and should be used to manage your time. Careful planning can prevent burnout. You are encouraged to make a list of the top destinations that you would like to see. Be sure to include museums, beaches, historical landmarks, and anything else that peaks your interest.

Planning your budget will help prevent spending on an impulse. You will find that there are many opportunities to purchase souvenirs in Mexico. With a preplanned budget, you should be able to enjoy the benefits of Mexican shopping. You can easily use calculators to determine the exchange rate between the United States and Mexico. Taking the exchange rate into consideration is the best way to effectively budget your money. You should also plan for tipping when preparing your budget.

If you decide to vacation at an all-inclusive resort, then the cost of airfare, hotel, and food will be provided for. However, it is important to note that certain restrictions may apply. At an all-inclusive resort, you will have to pay for the extras, so make sure that you include anything that you may to purchase. Extra money should be set aside for shopping in the markets and traveling outside of your resort.

Planning for your entertainment ahead of time will help to prevent overspending. You should determine ahead of time what activities you would like to engage in. Planning and budgeting for your Mexico vacation can be difficult, especially when it comes to entertainment. You may find that you and your family will want to make a last minute stop. This is why it is advised that you plan for unexpected stops and purchases. If you have already set aside some money for an unexpected activity, you wont have to worry about the cost of a last minute decision.

Finally, your plan should consist of contact information and an emergency back up plan. Whenever you are visiting a foreign country, it is important that you create an itinerary with all of your information and the details of your trip. That itinerary should be left with a close friend, family member, neighbor, or co-worker. In addition, you should also register with the United States Embassy or Consulate offices when you arrive. If anything happens while you are in Mexico, seeking the help of the U.S. Embassy or the nearest consulate office will provide the quickest and most effective assistance.

Before leaving for Mexico, make sure that you have up-to-date passports for all family members, as well as other forms of identification. By creating a travel plan, sticking to your budget, and creating an emergency backup plan, you can ensure that you family will have a wonderful vacation in Mexico.

North Miami Beach: Higher Than South

North Miami Beach is located roughly halfway between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Once known as Fulford (after a prominent citizen of the area), citizens of the town changed the name in 1931, after realizing that Fulford sounds like it might be the birthplace of the hillbillies from Deliverance. Now often known as NMB, North Miami Beach is a hotbed of shopping and clothing optional beaches. There are dining and cultural opportunities to rival anywhere else in South Florida, and strange attractions as well. Take, for example, the Ancient Spanish Monastery a genuine Spanish monastery (built in the 12th century) that was disassembled and moved brick by brick to the new world by well-known plutocrat and newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst. Ever a popular site for weddings, it is worth a visit, if only to remind you what can be accomplished with singular vision and limitless resources.

If you are looking for a good time in North Miami Beach (and who isnt), theres a great place you have to try. Far away from South Beach and Coconut Grove, Bermuda Bar and Grill is a great nightclub, though with a decidedly different vibe than hotspots further south. The bartenders seem to wear kilts (a little difference) and rather than the typical fruity, umbrella filled drinks that are popular in SoBe, at the Bermuda youll find people enjoying bottles of beer and shots (a bigger difference). The cover is quite reasonable, and Wednesday is ladies night, where women drink for free and force men to do their bidding. The food is pretty good, and at more of a reasonable prices than the food at the clubs in South Beach. The place is quite large; it features seven bars and two floors, and it's open until the sun comes up (Wednesday through Saturday). All in all, the Bermuda Bar and Grill is the perfect place to go if you are tired of dealing with the crowds and parking situation of SoBe and Coconut Grove.

But, just because the Bermuda is a little more laid back than other clubs doesnt mean that you shouldnt go there in style. Mirage Limo is ready, willing, and able to cart you to almost any club of your choice (provided its in Florida), and a limousine is a great way to go to any hotspot. Give the Bermuda Bar and Grill a try; youll be glad you did.

Tips On Barcelona Sightseeing

Barcelona has a lot to be proud of. A city literally stuffed with spectacular architecture, historical and cultural places of interest, fantastic food and a vibrant nightlife, it is no wonder tourists flock to the area. There is more to Catalunya than Barcelona sightseeing however, including a glorious coastline, beautiful mountains and a fierce independent spirit that will be felt by even the least informed visitor.

Make sure you have a map detailing the places of interest when you arrive in Barcelona; it is surprisingly easy to get lost in Barcelonas bustling streets. A good place to start your tour is Gaudis Park Guell, an open space filled with pieces of Gaudis work including benches, archways, walls and balconies. It is a place where Gaudis imagination really ad free reign, and you feel almost that the works of art are more natural than the plants and trees.

From here you can move easily on to Gaudis iconic work, the Sagrada Familia. This church was started in 1882 but was not finished when Gaudi died in 1926. Various attempts have been made to complete the work to Gaudis designs but the church is still not entirely finished and probably never will be. If you dont think you can capture the spirit of the church in your own photographs, you might want to check out the stunning images available in postcard stands that surround the building.

The Barcelona zoo was founded in 1892 and is located in the Ciutadella Park, next to the old town or Ciutat Vella. This is a great place to visit especially of you have children that are likely to lose interest in architecture and history. Some of the seven and a half thousand animals on display include pelicans, American buffalos and red kangaroo, as well as a specialist primate collection which the zoo is famous for.

There is an aquatic park within the zoo that provides a home to bottlenose dolphins among others. Dolphin shows can be seen throughout the warm summer months, and this can make a refreshing escape from the heat of the city. An acclaimed research program at Barcelona zoo is well known for sympathetic breeding of animals in captivity and protection of endangered species, which would otherwise become extinct.

The main avenue in Barcelona, La Rambla is a riot of color and bustle with flower stalls and street performers at regular intervals along the promenade. The main hotels and restaurants center around La Rambla, but you may get a better deal and more authentic dishes if you explore a little further out. One place not be missed is the Boqueria, a fantastic food market to one side of La Rambla, with exotic delicacies you have never even imagined.

The port area received a face lift with the Olympics in Barcelona in 1992. The Olympic village was situated right on the coast and the area is marked by the dual towers of the Arts Hotel, Mapfre Towers and Nova Icaria Square. The main Olympic sites can be found on top of Montjuic, a hill overlooking the city, and can be reached by cable car.

How Not To Tour Scotland

You are 12th in line behind the caravan at the front. A slow right hand bend comes up and you drift out to see if cars are coming, but you notice the car in front has edged up to make it difficult for you to overtake.
"Look at that castle over there, Dad,"
"In a minute, son,"
Then your concentration slips and disaster strikes. You took your eye off the car behind and now he has whipped in front of you. The speedo tells you you are doing no more than 45mph. They shouldn't allow caravans really, on these roads. You do this from Edinburgh to Inverness and back down to Glasgow.

Back at the office, "How did you like Scotland, would you go there again?""It was very nice, but we might do something different next year." Yes, well, next year you could always spend a week driving around the M25. Great fun.

To-day Gillian and I toured Scotland the correct way. We started out as usual with little idea of where we were heading.
"South?"
"Ok."
"Stalker Castle for soup and a roll?"
"Why not?"

A ride along the edge of Loch Linnhe, with the mountains of Morven across the water. No traffic. Yesterday's cold front had passed over leaving a cool, clear and sunny day. The air was fresh and you could see for miles down the Sound towards Mull.

"How about taking our little North Shian road the wrong way round?"
"Ok"

Single track road, with hardly any passing places. If you meet a car coming the other way the chances are that one of you will have to reverse, but you'll exchange a wave. Didn't matter, didn't pass any other cars. No one goes there. Except us, of course.

Sun came through the trees from South Shian across the water. Low tide made it look soft and wonderful against the light. "Wonder where the old slipway is, we found it before remember?"

This is where the people, and cattle, used to cross in a big rowing boat ferry 200 years ago when they travelled the down the coast from North to South. Cuts off a days walk round the coast, and many famous people in history have used it. It is about a mile across and the Spring tide flows strongly. Took a bit of rowing in the old days with a crowd aboard. They used heavy, caulked, wooden boats then. No glass fibre.

So we stopped to ask Charlie Moore who was planting some larch trees in his garden. The answer lasted for an hour as we swapped stories of the roe deer in his garden, the old ferry, the new pier restaurant owners in the village, and the evening when he froze in his garden as an otter walked by his feet. The answer included his early days in the Orkney Isles. He might have to go back there because the authorities have stopped his licence because of his diabetes. His neighbours get some groceries for him, but he walks three miles to the nearest bus. Lovely man, didn't sound Scottish at all, but that's the Orcadians for you.

Back to the cottage half an hour later taking in little Port Appin and its small passenger ferry to Lismore on the way. Total distance travelled? About 25 miles.

That's the way you tour Scotland properly. You don't go past it in a car. You go into it with the people.

Rev Up Financially With Lower Equity Home Loan Mortgage Rate

Vroom! Vroom! Nestled in the driver's seat, you feel like you are at home in your favorite recliner. With a firm grip at 10:00 and 2:00 on the steering wheel, you bolt down the German Autobahn with no other cars in sight. The wind whips through your hair as sunrays melt off your cool shades. You glance over at that someone special in the passenger's seat and shout out, "It doesn't get any better than this!" Suddenly, the sound of a throat being cleared causes your eyelids to sheepishly rise. The voice came from the salesman "Honest Al," who is sporting a green plaid suit that was the latest fashion...30 years ago! It hits you that you are in a car showroom. You ask Al about the lowest price he can offer you. After he replies, your jaw hits the car floor. If he had given you an equity home loan mortgage rate at relatively the same value, the result would have been the same.

Good, Better, Best

A gold nugget of shopping wisdom is that you can always find a better price. You could find a better price at a car auction than at a used car lot. You could find a better price in a clothing brand's factory outlet than at a department store's seasonal sale. And you could find a better equity home loan mortgage rate on the Internet than at a fly-by-night mortgage lender. Although it takes some time and effort to find the best mortgage interest rate, it is definitely worthwhile. Except for those who can afford skyscrapers and corporations, houses are the biggest investment for most people. So, it pays to spend some extra time and energy to find the lowest equity home loan mortgage rate available.

A Date with Rates

Life would be easier if you could just take out a mortgage and always pay a standard equity home loan mortgage rate. But the system never works that way. Banks and construction societies are constantly updating and broadening the types of mortgages that they offer. This constantly keeps the market competitive. One of two significant aspects of mortgages is how you pay the interest on the capital. Some examples include:

* Fixed rates, in which the rate is fixed for the timeframe that is agreed upon.
* Variable rates let you pay the current rate, on your loan. The mortgage rate usually changes after interest rate changes are calculated for a year. The mortgage rate can also change each time interest rates change.
* Discounted rates apply over a set period. This program offers the borrower a price cut on the lender's variable rate. The rate paid changes according to changes in the variable rate.
* Capped rates are fixed, but you pay the lower rate in the case that rates fall.

An Engine's Rate

When searching for the best equity home loan mortgage rate from these various types, you can do the footwork yourself by using the search function at websites with equity home loan mortgage rates. Usually the search engine will request that you supply information, such as your credit profile, your home (family) description, and the type of loan. Then after clicking on the search button...BOOM! You have the info you need.

When shopping for clothing, computers, or cars, you can always find a better price. Finding the lowest equity home loan mortgage rate is no different. Speed off and find the best one today!

Wedding... A Test Of Your Relationship From The Start

Before you hear your own wedding bells ring, have you heard of pre-marital counselling or course?

There are plenty of such courses out there, be it in churches, family service centres or places of religions.

Couples pay quite alot to join these courses and at the end of the day, some find such courses a waste of time.

My friend took part in the course with her husband-to-be at that point in time. Her conclusion? was that she could have better spent the time at the beach.

In fact, many aspects of maintaining a good relationship can be learnt from planning your wedding.

For instance, when it comes to budgeting, many couples find it really hard to discuss ad come to a common understanding. They have difficulty agreeing what to spend and how much to spend.

Other instances such as understanding the value and belief of your spouse-to-be. For example, the bride may feel that she needs to get the best gown and the most expensive bridal package.

The groom on the other hand may feel that they should get what they can afford.

More challenges await them when they meet the parents.

Family beliefs and power struggle are other aspects to take note.

Family beliefs such as traditional beliefs and practices at home have to be discussed.

For example, the brides family may have complicated wedding custom that has to be followed. However, the grooms family is not particular over such traditions. Complications may arise from such situation of whose practices to follow.

Power struggle may arise when other family members or even relatives want to play a part in giving feedback or helping out at the wedding.

For example. I have this friend whose mom allowed her daughter to plan her own wedding. However, the aunties came along to give unnecessary remarks thinking that they are helpful. They didnt know that the concerns became stressors for the bride.

Such difficulties that the bride or groom go through alone could be very good opportunity for the newly-wed to come to consensus how do they want to support each other.

These are times to understand expectations, values and beliefs of their partners as well as their families.

Wedding isnt easy. It is not just the marriage of two people, but the marriage of two families.

To go for marriage preparation course, it is completely your decision whether or not to undergo before you get married.

Remember, going for such courses doesnt guarantee that your wedding will be quarrel or conflict-free. It could be a good starter to look at your relationship from another angle.

Remember, maintaining a relationship will last you a lifetime.

Understanding Coin Price Guides

There are many coin price guides published; weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and annually. They come in the form of magazines, newsprint, hot sheets, and books. All of us have referred to one of these from time to time to ascertain what a particular coin might be worth. Yet, few of us stop to think about what we are getting from any one of these Price Guides, beyond the price or value of a coin. After all, dont price guides, just give you the price? What else is there?

Basic to an understanding of price guides are two things: 1) the Grade of the Coin; and 2) the Foundation of the price guide. Knowing the Grade of the Coin is required before one can begin. Saying so seems to be obvious, but what more does it mean?

Unless the coin is Graded by an appropriate Professional Grading Company, which has designated what Grade and Identity has been assigned to the coin, most of us are making an assumption about the actual Grade. This assumption we make can be very dangerous because of: a) the difficulty in grading a coin; and, b) the different possible outcomes or results that occur. One Grade point or level can make the difference in hundreds or thousands of dollars in the Value of a Coin.

Price Guides assume that YOU already Know the Grade of the Coin. This is why we have the First Rule of Coin Collecting: Know the Grade of Your Coin.

Secondly, ALL Price Guides are founded on the same Principle, which is that the Coin, whose price you are looking up, has been Graded using one Grading Standard. That Grading Standard is set by the ANA American Numismatic Association and is entitled the Official Grading Standards For US Coins.

Therefore, ALL Price Guides have a silent assumption built in to their guide; which is that the Grade that YOU decide upon, is True or Accurate, and that such Grade is based on the ANA Standards.

The first difficulty that arises is that most people never know if the Grade that they have decided upon is Accurate. Of course, this difficulty never comes into question, if the coin is Professionally Graded by an appropriate company. There are only four (4) reputable Professional Grading companies that strictly follow the Guidelines set by the ANA, and they are: PCGS, NCG, ICG, and ANACS.

The second difficulty arises because of this silent assumption or Foundation of all price guides is whether or not the Grade has been decided upon using the Guidelines or Standards established by the ANA. If you dont have the skills and training of a professional coin grader, the decision is probably questionable.

Even if you do have the skills and training of a professional coin grader, the decision is still probably questionable. Why? Because even professional coin graders have differing opinions. This is why the reputable professional coin grading companies require the opinions of three (3) professional coin graders to arrive at the Grade designation to be placed on every coin.

The obvious conclusion is that a Serious Coin Collector is going to invest in rare and modern coins that are graded by one of the Top Four reputable Grading companies. It is the only certain way to eliminate the disagreements and arguments about the Grade of Any coin being Bought or Sold! It is the only certain way one can Value their coin collection. It also eliminates getting taken or cheated buying raw coins.

Have fun collecting your Perfect Coins!

Crystal Lake Cave In Iowa - A Great Vacation And Travel Destination

Iowa has some beautiful places that are wonderful vacation destinations. One of the must see places is Crystal Lake Cave. There is an interesting story behind this location. Back in 1868 lead miners were looking for a lead vein and they drilled 40 feet into the ground. And although they were not successful in finding the lead they had hoped for they did find something else even more amazing. What they found was Crystal Lake Cave. Although the cave was discovered for many years it was not open to the public until 1932. Bernard Markus, one of the original miners, played a role in getting the cave open to the public and it finally became so after his death.

While the miners were digging they found quite a few different types of gems and minerals that are on display in the gift shop. There is no other show cavern like Crystal Lake Cave and this is the longest a cave has been "alive" in Iowa. The cave is underground and continues to be one of the most amazing places to visit in Iowa. The tour of the cave takes about half an hour to 45 minutes and it is an adventure like none other you have ever taken. A tour guide will lead you so that you get the most out of the adventure. Keep in mind that no matter what the temperature is outside it will be quite cool in Crystal Lake Cave and the year round temperature is usually around 52 degrees Fahrenheit.

The cave is open from 9 am to 5 pm on weekends in May and daily in June, July and August from 9 am until 6 pm. In September the cave is open from 11 am until 5 pm on weekdays and 9 am until 5 pm on weekends. The cave is open through mid October from 11 am until 5 pm on weekdays and 9 am until 5 pm on weekends. The rest of the year the cave is closed for winter. Prices for adults are $10 and $5 for kids four to 11. Kids under four are free and senior citizens receive a 10% discount. Group pricing is available. The cave is located three miles south of Dubuque, Iowa and 20 minutes from Galena, Illinois.
